Child Protection Network Permanency Bags for Kids - $1,000
Partnering with CASA to provide permanency bags for children as they exit the foster care system. The bags contain a variety of age and interest appropriate items to help the child with a sense of personal identity and security as the child enters their new home.
Fostering Dignity Backpacks for Youth - $1,000
Organization provides backpacks for IL Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) investigators to use at the time of an investigation of abuse or neglect when a child is being removed from his or her home—eliminating the use of a garbage bag during the traumatic transition to foster care placement.
Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation Attack Asthma Camp - $500
The Illinois Heart and Lung Foundation developed an Attack Asthma Camp to provide assistance to underserved children in our community suffering from asthma—YEP is funding the cost of the refurbished iPads for youth to use for fun, educational resources to engage and encourage children suffering from severe asthma.
Max's Miles Harmony Park Project - $1,000
The Harmony Park Project is working to develop an inclusive park in our area that is safe and accessible for children of all abilities—YEP is funding a Spinning Sensory Wave Seat.
Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp - $2,000
Summer camp program where kids with neuromuscular diseases are able to live completely unlimited—YEP funding will be used for scholarships for youth.
Regional Alternative School Automated External Defibrillator & Hygiene Kits - $4,000
Regional Alternative School is purchasing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for use within the school and supplies for hygiene kits for students.
100 Black Men of Central Illinois Summer School to Fill the Educational Achievement Gap - $500
Providing funding for students that have a financial and academic need to attend summer school.
